This is a terrific book for toddlers and preschool aged children. It translates the experiences of one young girls' "Hot Summer" in Brooklyn New York, to an experience that all children can relate to. For example,
it is so hot in New York that the little girl thinks that she can fry an egg on the sidewalk.. (smile) However her efforts prove to be unsuccessful.
In addition, the Author does an awesome job of combining photographs and collages to create some vibrant illustrations that your preschoolers will enjoy. Nina Crews is a Yale University graduate who currently lives in Brooklyn New York.
Ages: 3 and Up
